6ix9ine is an american rapper out of brooklyn, new york. he is currently facing up to 32 years in jail for racketeering, sexual misconduct with a minor, and several other charges. he is notorious for including lyrics that promote gun violence, sexual assault, and drug abuse. for example, in his song "gummo" he raps "i don't f**k with old hoes, only new hoes, put my d**K in her backbone, i pass her to my bro" which clearly alludes to sexual misconduct.

Chance is an american rapper out of chicago, illinois. His uplifting and unique style of hip-hop places him atop the genre. Chance doesn't sell his music, and constantly donates and provides for his home city of chicago. an idol and inspiration to many, we chose to include chance because of his positive lyrics that are oftentimes inspiring. in his song "summer friends" the lyrics are as follows: "may you be successful, grant you favor and bring you back safely, i love you."

Lil pump is an american rapper out of miami, florida. although he hasn't faced any serious charges, he was arrested in february 2018 for discharging a weapon in a home. the eighteen year-old rapper glorifies drug abuse. in his song "gucci gang" the lyrics represent a celebration of unbridled consumerism. for example, the five most repeated words are "racks","Chain","Bitch","cocaine" and "wedding ring" which relays negative connotations to young listeners.

It's difficult to say what he is most well known for as he is an accomplished actor and screenwriter outside of being a rapper. he spreads messages in some of his songs, and displays a sense of being an activated citizen. his inspirational music has become very popular and he has hits to go along with it. in his song "3005" he raps "no matter what you say or what you do, when i'm alone i'd rather be with you, f**k these other N****s i'll be right by your side till 3005, hold up"

Lil xan is an american rapper out of redlands, california. first off, his rap name is an immediate reference to the drug xanax. his songs have no definite meaning as they just blurt out references to suicide and rape. he has no criminal charges, but has a variety of drug charges. his music is anything but representative of the hip-hop genre.

logic is an american rapper out of gaithersburg, maryland. logic has become one of the most well respected and popular hip-hop artists in this decade. his mantra is peace, love, and positivity. his lyrics always have a story behind it, and he inspires many in his loyal fanbase with words of encouragement. in his song "intro" he raps "i'mma get up today, i don't know how, but i'mma find a way, lookin' for the sun in a world of grey, feelin' like my dream is a world away" with the background saying the words "You can really do anything" in an uplifting and inspirational song.

j. cole is an american rapper out of Fayetteville, north carolina. cole was actually dissed by lil pump, an (art)ist we chose for the lyrical abusers column. Cole is one of the most well known and popular rappers of his generation, and is very talented lyrically. In "Love yourz" he raps "quick, do something before you lose it for good, get it back and use it for good, and touch the people how you did like before" In a touching and motivational song.

riff raff is an american rapper out of houston, texas. He has been arrested for drug possession, dui, and has also been accused of rape. in "dolce & gabbana" he raps "seven butt-nakeds sippin' drank in my sana, only f**ck with hoes who rock dolce and gabbana."

Kendrick Lamar is an american rapper out of compton, california. Kendrick Lamar could be referred to as the best rapper of the present day, and for good reason. Even with a very hard childhood, kendrick finds ways to create incredible music. He has won grammys, and even a pulitzer. He once stated his favorite song he wrote was "i" because of its positive message even with all the things he's been through. The chorus goes "i love myself" and the song as a whole is an uplifting masterpiece.

She has no prior run-ins with the law, however, she became viral at the age of 13 on the dr. phil show after she allegedly hit her mother and displayed complete immature behavior. She is most notorious for her "cash me outside" phrase towards the audience. On live, national television, she threatened the audience with violent motives.

She was born in st. louis, missouri. she struggled with finding a job after college before finding her niche in recording music. sza garnered 5 nominations at the grammy awards including best new artist and best urban contemporary album. in her collaboration with kendrick lamar, "All the stars" she sings about an appreciation for life: "i just pray for no reason, i give thanks for the life, for the day, for the hours and another life breathin', i did it all 'cause i feel good."
